Job Description:

Summary/Objective:
Under direct supervision, provide vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilitiestofacilitatecompetitive and integrated employment outcomes.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Develops andmaintainsreferral sources.

2. Conducts interviews with VR participants (potentially eligible students, applicants,and clients).

3. Reviews and interprets education, vocation, psychological and medical information.

4. Travelswithin caseload assignment area to meet with individuals, providers,partnersand otheroutreach.

5. Assistsindeterminingeligibility,identifyingorder ofselection, conducting a comprehensive needsassessment,and developing an individualized plan for employment, authorizing services.

6. Counsels and guides participants throughout the rehabilitation process, including establishing employmentgoals,facilitatingjob search efforts, maintaining contact with clients, and moving the case to closure.

7. Monitors client movement and ensurestimelyprovision of services.

8. Documents accurately andtimelyin AWARE (client information system).

9. Observes rules of confidentiality asstatedby departmental guidelines in the dissemination and interpretation of test results and other case file information.

10. Provides information to educate the public, other agencies,vendors,and potential customers about rehabilitation services.

11. Entersaccurateparticipant data in the client information system at the direction of the counselor, as well as captures reporting data.

12. Processes and monitors authorizations and invoices for rehabilitation servicesin accordance withpolicies and procedures

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social/Human Services, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related behavioral or -social science field from an accredited college or university and Two years related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or
more of the following:

1. Master's Degree in a related field (Psychology, Human/Social Services, Education, Special Education, Counseling, etc.)

2. CRC credential in good standing

3. Experience as case manager with a high-volume caseload

4. Teacher's certification in Special Education

Nonerequiredfor this position.

Work Environment:

This joboperatesin a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required totalk or hear. The employeefrequentlyis required tostand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employeeis occasionally required tosit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing ahigh-volumeworkload and demandsa high levelof accuracy while working with deadlines. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This positionoccasionallyrequires long hours and weekend work.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
