Job description

As a Project Designer, you will play a key role in the early stages of project development, focusing on initial design and pre-construction activities. Responsibilities
  • Support project directors and designers throughout the design and presentation phases of projects.
  • Conduct site analysis and inventory to assess existing site conditions and create base maps for initial design concepts.
  • Prepare estimates and take-offs to assist with budgeting and contract development.
  • Develop planting, hardscape, layout, lighting, and construction details under the direction of project directors for client presentations, subcontractor coordination, and city approvals.
  • Assemble construction documents and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present plans at city meetings for board review and variance requests as needed.
  • Collaborate with the construction team as projects transition into the installation phase.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Lumion 3D rendering software.
  • Basic understanding of gathering field measurements and recording grade and elevation points to build residential site base maps.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with project directors and construction teams.
  • Educational background or equivalent experience in one or more of the following: MLA, BLA, B. Arch, or Certified Draftsman.
