Responsibilities
- Support project directors and designers throughout the design and presentation phases of projects.
- Conduct site analysis and inventory to assess existing site conditions and create base maps for initial design concepts.
- Prepare estimates and take-offs to assist with budgeting and contract development.
- Develop planting, hardscape, layout, lighting, and construction details under the direction of project directors for client presentations, subcontractor coordination, and city approvals.
- Assemble construction documents and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Present plans at city meetings for board review and variance requests as needed.
- Collaborate with the construction team as projects transition into the installation phase.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Lumion 3D rendering software.
- Basic understanding of gathering field measurements and recording grade and elevation points to build residential site base maps.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with project directors and construction teams.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in one or more of the following: MLA, BLA, B. Arch, or Certified Draftsman.
