Job description

Turabify Co. is excited to announce an opening for an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) at our dental practice in Franklin, OH. As an EFDA, you will utilize your advanced training and skills to support our dentists in providing high-quality dental care. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with advanced dental procedures, such as placing restorations, performing coronal polishing, and administering local anesthesia under the supervision of the dentist. You will also be responsible for patient education and ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about dentistry and eager to take on new challenges in a collaborative team setting. Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist in performing complex dental procedures and functions.
  • Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and monitor patients during the procedures.
  • Place, carve, and polish dental restorations as permitted by state regulations.
  • Perform coronal polishing and apply fluorides as needed.
  • Educate patients regarding dental procedures and proper oral hygiene.
  • Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures performed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment following all state health regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is required.
  • Current Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification and CPR certification.
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant, with specific EFDA experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of dental materials, terminology, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
