Automotive Detail PorterJob Summary

The focus of a Porter is to maintain a well-kept dealership lot and support the Detail Center. The focus of this job is producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. It requires driving, patience and a willingness to handle and complete multiple tasks.

Automotive Detail Porter Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Outgoing and self-motivated personality

Primary Responsibilities
  • Organize, rearrange and replenish inventory as needed
  • Have a complete stock of cleaning supplies accessible daily
  • Keep the shop clean and presentable at all times
  • Mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, and other tasks when requested
  • Putting fuel in vehicles and assisting with other duties as needed.
  • Assist technicians, other co-workers, and various departments when necessary
  • Run various errands
  • Keep entry-ways presentable and clear of debris and snow
  • Inspect vehicles as needed
  • Delivering/picking up vehicles from other lots for detail work, website photos, or transportation
  • Transporting people to other off-lot storage facilities to retrieve vehicles for Detail Center
Automotive Detail Porter Requirements
  • Ability to work Monday – Thursday 1p-10p and alternating Friday and Saturday 9a-7p
  • Must demonstrate proficient driving abilities with a minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks (bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, walking, and standing for prolonged periods. Driving vehicles, and willing to work in all types of weather)
  • Consent to a background check and drug screening
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with less than 4 points and no history of reckless driving
