Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Date Center Superintendent in New Albany, OH. The Data Center Superintendent manages field operations for complex technology projects, overseeing technical crews, site safety, and quality assurance. This role is ideal for a leader with deep expertise in OSP construction or fiber network deployment who is comfortable with high travel and managing multi-site infrastructure installations.

Job Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: $93,600 to $114,400 Annually BOE

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee on-site technical crews, equipment, and material staging to ensure efficient data center infrastructure project execution.
  • Promote and enforce zero-injury safety standards and strictly adhere to project-specific safety and compliance requirements.
  • Schedule and manage technician manpower across various projects to optimize resource allocation and maintain schedule efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers on budget tracking, project planning, and the coordination of technical teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits to perform quality control inspections and ensure installations meet all project specifications.
  • Maintain daily timecards, project paperwork, and comprehensive final 'as-built' documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships and serve as a primary liaison between field operations and project stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor foremen and technicians, providing technical guidance and enforcing operational standards.
Qualifications:
  • Significant industry expertise in OSP construction, fiber network deployment, or data center physical infrastructure.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage technical teams and oversee subcontractor performance.
  • Technical proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding construction schedules, and conducting constructability reviews.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with project managers, clients, and external partners.
  • Willingness to travel 50–75% for extended periods depending on project locations and requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce contract requirements and labor agreements regarding field staff.
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work at heights, off of a ladder, and in confined spaces common to data center environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment or materials up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and navigate construction sites for extended periods.
  • Must be able to see and distinguish different colors and read small print on technical drawings and blueprints.
 
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $93,600 to $114,400 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
