This position is being posted for a potential government contract opportunity.


Job Overview:

The Cyber Systems Administrator supports Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS), and Building Automation Systems (BAS) cybersecurity operations for mission-critical Department of Defense facilities and infrastructure. This position is responsible for supporting cybersecurity compliance, system administration, vulnerability remediation, RMF sustainment activities, privileged account administration, OT network support, and BAS cybersecurity operations in accordance with DOD, DLA, and federal cybersecurity requirements.


The Cyber Systems Administrator works closely with facilities personnel, BAS technicians, Government cybersecurity personnel, and DLA stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant operation of BAS/FRCS systems supporting HVAC, utility, and facility operations.


Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support secure operation and maintenance of OT/ICS/BAS/FRCS systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Perform system administration duties for servers, workstations, virtual environments, and OT network-connected devices.
  • Assist with implementation and sustainment of Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Support compliance with DoDM 8140.03 cybersecurity workforce requirements.
  • Perform vulnerability remediation and assist with STIG implementation and compliance activities.
  • Support cybersecurity scan remediation efforts including ACAS, SCAP, and related vulnerability management activities.
  • Maintain and administer privileged access accounts in accordance with Government security requirements.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation and deliverables.
  • Support Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) management and remediation tracking.
  • Support FIPS 199 categorization and cybersecurity artifact development activities.
  • Assist with system patching, firmware updates, software updates, and antivirus management activities.
  • Support BAS and facility control systems utilizing technologies such as BACnet, Modbus, Niagara/Tridium, Metasys, and related control systems.
  • Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, controls, and facilities personnel during troubleshooting and operational support activities.
  • Monitor system alarms, logs, and operational status of OT/ICS systems.
  • Participate in contingency exercises, emergency response activities, and continuity operations support.
  • Assist with maintaining cybersecurity compliance in accordance with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, UFC 4-010-06, and related federal cybersecurity standards.
  • Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and cybersecurity assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and system documentation.
  • Support Government personnel and stakeholders in resolving OT/ICS cybersecurity issues.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting cybersecurity operations, system administration, OT/ICS systems, BAS environments, or related technologies.
  • Experience supporting Windows Server environments and network-connected systems.
  • Experience supporting vulnerability management and remediation activities.
  • Experience working with cybersecurity compliance standards and frameworks.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required installation access credentials and Government-issued credentials.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain applicable DoDM 8140.03 compliant certifications.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Facility Related Control Systems (FRCS).
  • Ability to troubleshoot network, system, and BAS-related issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
