Job Description We are seeking a Letter of Credit Specialist to join our dynamic team within the Wealth Management Credit Platform Service Support group. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Standby Letters of Credit, trade finance operations, and credit facility lifecycle management and a proven ability to execute end-to-end LC processing with accuracy, control adherence, and timely stakeholder coordination. Responsibilities: Process the complete lifecycle of Standby Letters of Credit, including issuance, amendments, extensions, transfers, cancellations, drawings, and billing. Review customer documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal policies and international trade regulations. Validate LC applications, supporting documentation, collateral arrangements, and approval conditions prior to execution. Coordinate with Relationship Managers, Product Advisory, Credit Officers, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Trade Finance teams for timely processing. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal risk frameworks, bank policies, UCP 600, ISP98, OFAC, KYC, and internal controls. Support credit facility setup, maintenance, and monitoring, including collateral reviews and linkage within internal credit and trade systems. Monitor transaction queues and SLAs to ensure timely execution with high quality and operational excellence. Investigate and resolve operational exceptions, documentation discrepancies, and client inquiries with internal stakeholders. Maintain accurate records across banking platforms and ensure complete audit trails for all LC activities. Support periodic portfolio reviews, including expiries, renewals, collateral sufficiency, and outstanding documentation. Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automation and standardization initiatives. Participate in audits, regulatory examinations, and control testing while adhering to risk and compliance standards. Produce operational reports on transaction volumes, service metrics, exceptions, and operational risks. Escalate operational risks, control gaps, and complex transactions to senior management per governance procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field. Degree preferred. 2-5+ years in credit monitoring and review, trade finance, letters of credit, banking operations, or credit operations. Open to new graduates. Understanding of Standby Letters of Credit, credit facilities, and the credit lifecycle. Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and risk discipline. Ability to interpret legal documentation, procedures, and credit approvals accurately. Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience operating in controlled environments with knowledge of operational risk and compliance. Effective verbal and written communication across stakeholders and levels. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Skills: Experience with trade and credit systems. Knowledge of Letter of Credit products and rules such as UCP 600 and ISP98. Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment and work independently with minimal supervision. Collaboration skills across stakeholder groups with strong risk awareness and attention to detail. Work Arrangement & Interview Process Work location: Columbus, OH. 100% in-office presence. Schedule: Typical 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. business hours. Overtime may be required. Interview: One round via Zoom with a minimum of two interviewers.
