Position Summary

REV Copack is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and hands-on Supply Chain & Production Planning Manager to coordinate customer demand, production scheduling, material readiness, inventory, purchasing support, dock coordination, and customer commitments across our beverage co-packing and fulfillment operation. This position serves as the central link between customers, Sales, Operations, Quality, Inventory, Shipping & Receiving, and leadership.

The Manager translates customer forecasts, purchase orders, bills of material, inbound material information, and changing priorities into realistic production plans that account for labor, line capacity, changeovers, equipment, warehouse space, and material availability. The ideal candidate is proactive, practical, comfortable on the production floor, and willing to identify risks early, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions when priorities change.

Why This Role Exists

REV Copack customers manage their own supply chains, including forecasting, procurement, and inbound freight. REV Copack owns the operational capacity required to turn those inputs into finished product — including production lines, labor, dock capacity, and warehouse space. This role sits at the seam between the customer’s supply chain and REV Copack’s operations, ensuring that the plan is executable and that customer commitments remain visible, realistic, and achievable.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Demand, Order & Production Planning

• Receive, validate, and enter customer purchase orders and forecasts; maintain a rolling demand picture across active accounts.
• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and longer-range production schedules.
• Schedule beverage variety packs, relabeling, rework, promotional packaging, and other secondary packaging projects.
• Sequence work orders against line capacity, changeover requirements, labor availability, equipment constraints, and material readiness.
• Match customer demand with available labor, equipment, production lines, and warehouse capacity.
• Confirm components, packaging materials, instructions, approvals, and other requirements are available before releasing or scheduling work.
• Monitor production progress and revise schedules when priorities change, materials are delayed, equipment becomes unavailable, or customer requirements are revised.
• Work with Operations and Engineering to maintain realistic assumptions about throughput, capacity, and changeover times.
• Help ensure customer deadlines, production commitments, and shipment dates are achieved.

2. Supply Chain, Materials & Inventory Coordination

• Coordinate availability of beverages, cartons, trays, labels, film, glue, pallets, and other production materials.
• Reconcile customer-supplied component inventory and inbound ETAs against production requirements.
• Identify material shortages, BOM discrepancies, date conflicts, and other supply-chain risks before they interrupt production.
• Track expected inbound materials and confirm arrival dates against production requirements.
• Work with customers, vendors, carriers, staffing partners, and internal departments to resolve shortages and delivery issues.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while reducing excess, obsolete, or slow-moving materials.
• Support purchasing and vendor coordination when required.
• Partner with Inventory to investigate shortages, variances, system discrepancies, and material reconciliation issues.
• Support accurate inventory transactions, lot-code traceability, and material reconciliation.

3. Shipping, Receiving & Dock Coordination

• Assist with freight planning and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate dock appointment scheduling for inbound components and outbound finished goods.
• Communicate schedule and shipment changes clearly to Shipping & Receiving and other affected departments.
• Help align production completion with customer-required shipment dates.

4. Systems, Data & Process Management

• Use Nulogy and related systems to review inventory, production orders, material requirements, and job status.
• Set up new customers, items, and bills of material in Nulogy or comparable WMS/ERP systems.
• Maintain item master data and planning information with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ensure work orders and production requirements are accurate before jobs are released.
• Maintain planning documents, customer forecasts, production-capacity information, and related records.
• Serve as a primary internal user and voice for PackPulse, REV Copack’s planning platform, helping identify improvements and shape future functionality.
• Help improve planning procedures, system accuracy, reporting, and repeatable workflows.

5. Customer Coordination & Program Launches

• Own day-to-day communication with customer supply-chain and planning contacts by email and phone.
• Run recurring planning calls and provide clear schedule commitments, status updates, and next steps.
• Escalate clearly and early when a customer commitment is at risk, including practical options for resolution.
• Support new program launches from initial planning and sample runs through steady-state production.
• Develop and maintain repeatable onboarding processes for new customers, items, and programs.

6. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Serve as the primary communication point between Sales, Operations, Quality, Inventory, and Shipping & Receiving for production planning.
• Communicate material concerns, capacity limitations, scheduling risks, and customer-impacting issues to leadership.
• Work with Production Supervisors to ensure schedules are practical and properly staffed.
• Coordinate with Quality to confirm specifications, lot-code requirements, packaging instructions, and customer approvals.
• Help establish priorities when multiple customers or projects compete for capacity.
• Lead planning meetings and provide clear updates on production readiness and customer commitments.
• Promote REV Copack’s culture of being family-oriented, flexible, agile, and committed to getting the job done.

Performance Measures

Success in this position will be measured through:

• Schedule attainment — percentage of scheduled work orders completed in the scheduled week.
• On-time shipment — finished goods shipped against customer-required dates.
• On-time completion of production orders.
• Reduction in planning-related downtime caused by knowable material shortages, missing BOM data, or sequencing errors.
• Inventory accuracy and reduction in excess/obsolete inventory.
• Effective utilization of labor and production capacity.
• Accuracy and timeliness of production schedules and capacity outlooks.
• New program onboarding lead time from customer PO to first production run.
• Customer escalation volume and proactive resolution of issues before they affect commitments.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or a related function within contract packaging, contract manufacturing, food & beverage, CPG, 3PL, or manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated ownership of a production schedule in a multi-line, multi-customer environment.
• Strong understanding of inventory control, material planning, production capacity, and scheduling.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain capacity and planning models.
• Direct experience communicating operational commitments to customers, including communicating when a date or commitment is at risk.
• Comfort with WMS/ERP systems, item master data, production orders, and data accuracy.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple customers, production orders, deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Ability to work on-site in Pittston, PA and regularly operate in both office and manufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Nulogy or a comparable co-packing, WMS, ERP, or production-management system.
• Beverage, high-volume canning, variety-pack, relabeling, repack, or secondary-packaging experience.
• Experience with dock scheduling systems such as OpenDock or similar platforms.
• Experience coordinating freight, warehousing, purchasing, or third-party suppliers.
• Experience supporting new program launches or customer onboarding.
• Familiarity with lot-code tracking, traceability, bills of material, and customer-supplied inventory.
• APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations management, logistics, or a related field.

Physical & Working Conditions

• On-site role based in the REV Copack facility in Pittston, PA.
• Regular time in production and warehouse areas, including non-climate-controlled environments and standard PPE requirements.
• Ability to walk through warehouse and production areas regularly.
• Ability to remain flexible when production needs or customer priorities change.
• Occasional early or extended hours may be required during program launches, peak periods, or operational demands.
• Must comply with all REV Copack safety, quality, and food-safety requirements.
