Job description

Registered Nurse – Surgical Intensive Care Unit / Oncology

Schedule: 12-hour D/N rotating or Nights

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Current acute care experience within the last 12 months in the applied specialty
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Travel assignment experience required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Licensure: Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the surgical ICU with oncology diagnoses.
  • Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation, including ventilator management.
  • Administer vasoactive medications and manage fluid resuscitation protocols.
  • Conduct assessments and monitor vital signs to identify patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

Compliance / Notes:

  • Orientation: 72 hours
  • Background checks and compliance processes are required prior to start.
  • Return-to-Office (RTO) required with submission; must be built into contract.
  • Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only.
