Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Interventional Radiology RN requiring an active OH or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of IR experience.

Details
  • Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
  • 13-week assignment with Day shift schedule (4x10 hours, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM)
  • Every other or every third weekend coverage required as needed
  • Floating may be required
  • On-call requirement of 2 shifts during the contract
  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
Requirements
  • Active Ohio RN license or compact license required, must be in hand at time of consideration
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Interventional Radiology experience required
  • Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Skills in circulating procedures and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, scrub procedures, electrophysiology procedures, and triage preferred
  • 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role and the second from a Charge RN; no coworker references accepted
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include circulating IR procedures and managing dysrhythmias as needed
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
  • Current employees of Ohio State University hospital locations are ineligible to be hired as travelers
  • RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
  • First-time travelers may be considered if they have IR-specific skills such as RPR
