Job description

Leading, developing and managing all aspects of the women's rugby program. This includes recruitment, training, player development, match and practice preparation and fostering a positive team culture and environment.

Program Leadership

Develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy for the women's rugby program.

Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, teamwork, and accountability.

Serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes.

Coaching & Player Development

Plan and conduct training sessions that build technical skills, tactical knowledge, and physical fitness.

Develop individualized growth plans for players at varying skill levels.

Analyze match performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Recruitment & Retention

Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes who fit the program's academic and athletic standards.

Maintain strong communication with recruits, families, and high school/club coaches.

Support player retention through consistent engagement, support, and mentorship.

Program Administration

Oversee scheduling of practices, matches, travel, and tournaments.

Manage the program's budget responsibly, including equipment and travel expenses.

Ensure compliance with institutional, conference, and governing body (e.g., USA Rugby, NCAA, NIRA, etc.) rules and regulations.

Community Engagement

Foster alumni and community support for the women's rugby program.

Organize camps, clinics, and outreach events to promote rugby development.

Collaborate with athletic department staff, trainers, and academic support services.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Demonstration of experience in Rugby Coaching

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coaching in collegiate setting

Hourly Rate: $18.00
