Job description

Seeking a Data Center Engineer to deploy, maintain, and support enterprise data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with structured cabling, hardware installation, network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and data center operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience supporting data center environments, including deployments, expansions, and maintenance activities.
  • Hands-on experience with structured cabling, including copper, single-mode, and multimode fiber.
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure components, including:
    • LAN/WAN, VLANs, SAN, firewalls, servers, storage, wireless, and network equipment.
  • Experience with rack installation, hardware deployment, testing, and verification.
  • Understanding of data center standards, including TIA-568, TIA-942, EIA/TIA, IEEE, NEC, and ISO standards.
  • Knowledge of power, cooling, physical security, and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting using protocols such as SNMP, CDP, and ICMP.
  • Familiarity with operating systems, software installations, upgrades, APIs, and system integrations.
  • Understanding of security hardening practices and configuration standards.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, procedures, and infrastructure records.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data center or networking certifications preferred.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data center operations and infrastructure management.
