Job description
Position: Electrical CAD Technician
Compensation: $ 27 - 28 /hour, depending on experience
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical CAD Technician to join their team!
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD professional to support substation design work within a collaborative engineering environment. You’ll help produce accurate drawings and documentation for electrical projects while contributing to a team focused on quality, precision, and continuous growth.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Create and update electrical CAD drawings for substation projects
- Support networks, integrations, and automation design efforts
- Use Bluebeam to review and mark up project documents
- Prepare clear drawings and supporting documentation
- Work with Microsoft Office applications for project-related tasks
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across all deliverables
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in a CAD-related program with a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Or specialized CAD certification plus 2 years of drafting experience
- Experience using CAD software
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work from Columbus, Ohio
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with electrical or substation drafting
- Exposure to networks, integrations, or automation projects
- Previous experience in an engineering or technical environment
- Strong interest in developing CAD expertise
