We are seeking an experienced paralegal with 6 to 8 years of experience to join our legal team to primarily focus on litigation and mass tort space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and mass torts, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while assisting the attorney in various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in fact investigation, witness interviews, drafting pleadings and correspondence, legal research, document preparation and production, database management, docketing/case management, and overall client service.
  • Prepare materials for and assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials and related proceedings, and attend same if needed.
  • Pre-trial preparation and trial attendance.
  • Prepare draft pleadings and discovery.
  • Coordinate filing of pleadings/documents and arrange for service.
  • Collect and summarize medical and/or other records.
  • Assist with calendaring/docketing.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, colleagues, and experts to ensure timely communication of case information and production of materials.
  • Stay informed of developments in the product liability practice areas and the Paralegal industry.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Comply with firm policies.
  • Sustain attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Learn/develop technical proficiency in database use and management; internet/electronic research; and project folder/electronic file maintenance.
  • Independently organize and manage files.
  • Anticipate attorney needs.
  • Independently handle all key duties without supervision.
  • Familiarity and experience with adopting legal AI and ability to learn and implement new AI preferred.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a Mass Tort or Litigation Paralegal.
  • Proficient in legal research, document management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in mass tort litigation is preferred.
