Job Description Summary:
The Employer Solutions APP works in collaboration with the Employer Solutions Physician in various ambulatory and onsite clinic settings to assess, diagnose and appropriately treat patients for workplace injuries and common acute illnesses, as well as perform physical exams, including Department of Transportation ("DOT") exams, and promote health and wellness among the patient population. The APP performs minimally invasive procedures and generally works with a stable patient population. Travel to regional clinical sites may be required to cover other providers under certain circumstances.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree (Required) AANP - American Association of Nurse Practitioners - American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board, ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association, CNS - Clinical Nurse Specialist - National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists.
Must have a current RN license and maintain this license from the Ohio Board of Nursing Must have a current COA and maintain this license from the Ohio Board of Nursing Must have current Certification and maintain this Certification from a national certifying body (ANCC, AANP, etc...) Must have graduated from an accredited CNP program (Nursing and graduate of an accredited post-master's Nurse Practitioner Program).
OR
Master's Degree (Required) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants - American Association of Physician Assistants, PA - Physician Assistant - National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.
Must have a Physician Assistant Certificate to Practice in Ohio and maintain this Certification from the state Medical Board of Ohio. Must have and maintain a current Certification from a national certifying body (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) and maintain this Certification. Must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
DEA license to prescribe scheduled medications.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
In this role, the APP will develop understanding of Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation procedures and Official Disability Guidelines for injury treatment and recovery. The APP will develop strong physical assessment skills and become familiar with evidence-based treatments for occupational injuries and common acute illnesses. The APP will obtain Federal Motor Carrier Vehicle Safety Administration Certified Medical Examiner status, and become comfortable performing DOT examinations, as well as Ohio Dept. of Education school bus driver physicals and potentially other state and federally (e.g., OSHA) regulated examinations.
The APP will collaborate with the Employer Solutions Physician as appropriate to ensure high-quality patient care. The APP will delegate tasks to clinic staff as appropriate.
