Job description

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Controls Systems Technician located in Dublin, OH. Our client is a Building Automation industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Controls Systems Technician to support the commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and servicing of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems. This position is responsible for ensuring building systems operate efficiently by performing controller programming, system diagnostics, calibration, and commissioning activities while delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC controls, building automation, and field service, along with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Responsibilities

Commission Building Automation and HVAC control systems using manufacturer-specific software and tools.

Load controller software and configure system-level controllers.

Perform startup, testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting from controllers to field devices including sensors and actuators.

Calibrate electronic control systems using appropriate test equipment.

Troubleshoot HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.

Respond to warranty and service calls while providing timely resolutions.

Maintain accurate commissioning reports, service documentation, and as-built records.

Communicate project progress with customers and project stakeholders.

Identify system improvement opportunities and recommend energy-efficient solutions.

Prepare customer quotes for recommended repairs and upgrades.

Follow all company and customer safety standards.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or vocational training in Electronics, Mechanical Systems, HVAC, Computer Technology, or a related technical field OR

4+ years of experience servicing HVAC controls, building automation, or related electronic/mechanical systems.

Experience commissioning and troubleshooting Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Knowledge of HVAC controls, facilities management systems, controllers, sensors, and actuators.

Experience using laptop-based programming and commissioning software.

Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customers.

Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation.

Preferred Skills

Experience with BAS platforms such as Metasys, Niagara, Siemens, Honeywell, Trane, or similar.

Experience with controller programming and software configuration.

Knowledge of commissioning documentation and as-built drawings.

Energy management or facility optimization experience.

Additional Details:

Duration: 04 Months with possibility of extension

Location: Dublin, OH 43016

Shift hours: Mon – Fri; 8:00 am - 5:00pm
