Dietz Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team at two of our residential communities in the Blacklick, OH area.

OVERVIEW:

As Maintenance Supervisor you are responsible for the repair and upkeep of the community by doing the following:

  • Supervision of maintenance technicians and/or grounds keeper
  • Team coaching and development
  • Making recommendations, obtaining proposals and oversight of unit rehabilitation and capital improvement projects
  • Performing and overseeing resident service requests
  • Ensuring exceptional product readiness
  • Performing and overseeing grounds maintenance
  • Maintenance inventory
  • Maintenance budget and expense control
  • Preventative maintenance
  • Coordination and oversight of maintenance vendors and city inspections
  • Reporting to the Community Director
  • In addition to the daily management and planning of technician tasks, the person chosen for this role will also be responsible for understanding, applying and adhering to OSHA safety standards

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience with at least 1 year as a Maintenance Supervisor or Lead Tech
  • Excellent skills in carpentry, electrical and plumbing and at least 3 years experience using these professionally
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively manage 1-2 maintenance techs
  • A great customer service attitude
  • Proven ability to effectively supervise vendors
  • Ability to successfully manage capital improvement projects
  • A valid, current driver's license
  • HVAC certification is preferred
  • Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred

WORK SCHEDULE:

This is a full-time position and on-call hours are scheduled on a rotating basis.
