Job description

Job/Position Summary
Responsibilities
  • Test Execution & Performance Optimization (Combustion & After-treatment)
  • Plan and execute daily steady-state and transient engine test protocols.
  • Analyze combustion characteristics, fuel economy, and emissions profiles to ensure performance meets target specifications.
  • Oversee the performance and integration of EGR, SCR, DPF, and other critical emissions control technologies.
  • Technical Troubleshooting & Maintenance (System Diagnostics)
  • Act as the primary lead for diagnosing complex issues within engine hardware, fuel systems, cooling loops, and ECUs.
  • Lead investigations into test failures, implementing corrective actions to resolve hardware or software deviations.
  • Ensure all test cell architectures (air intake, high-pressure fuel, etc.) comply with rigorous functional safety standards.
  • Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Management (Uptime Optimization)
  • Develop proactive maintenance strategies to minimize unscheduled downtime and ensure peak test cell utilization.
  • Coordinate with Calibration, Hardware Development, and Facilities teams to align testing with project milestones.
  • Manage test cell assets, tooling, and technical personnel to ensure seamless project progression.

Requirements:
  • Combustion Performance Engineer will serve as the technical owner of engine test cell operations.
  • Execution of daily test plans, ensuring data integrity, engine performance optimization, and maximum system reliability.
  • This role requires a deep mastery of ICE cycles, advanced after-treatment, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems.
  • Extensive experience in ICE technology, thermodynamics, and emissions control, engine data analysis
  • Deep understanding of Diesel Engine system and complex After-treatment architectures.
  • Expert-level ability to use calibration tools to interpret real-time engine behavior.
