Job description

Job description: The Business Analyst serves as a Senior Level Analyst responsible for leading the Business Analysis activities for the Modernization and full re-write of enterprise .NET Applications. The BA3 acts as a Bridge between business/program teams and Software development teams ensuring alignment, clarity and traceability from Intake of requirements through Delivery.
Business Analysis Skills:
  • Lead the Elicitation, Documentation and Validation of Business, Functional and Non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate Interviews and working sessions with Program teams, SME's and Technical Staff.
  • Develop User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and process flows.
  • Document current state workflows, System dependencies and processes.
  • Design future state workflows aligned with Modernization goals and .NET Architectural changes if any.
  • Create process Maps, Decision Trees and Workflow Diagrams using Visio and other Modeling Tools.
  • Support Data Migration Planning by documenting Data Models, Business Rules and transformation Logic.
  • Experience developing Quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements - are
  • requirements that do not perform a specific function for the business requirement but are needed to support the functionality. For example: performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security and usability.
  • Experience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its
  • justification, attributes and columns, owners and runtime parameters.
  • Strong organization and writing skills. Experienced developing graphic representations of complex business processes.
  • Provide requisite Support for Quality Assurance testing, UAT Coordination, Defect Triage and Validation of Fixes.
  • Review System Behavior aligns with documented requirements and Program expectations
  • Communicate Project Status, Risks and Decisions to PM and other leadership.
Technical Skills:
  • Requires an understanding of Application Architecture, re-architecting, or rebuilding strategies Viz., Azure Functions, API's Sql Server, .NET Core.
  • Legacy Systems Analysis and Integration points to determine modernization path.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, Microservices and modern DevOps practices
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with Project & Portfolio management tools like Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint and other off-the-shelf operational systems.
Experience:
  • Ideally, 7 to 8 years of relevant experience required. Past projects that involved writing requirements for legacy system migration, re-factoring or modernization would be highly preferred.
  • Experience leading Teams cross development, operations, security and business needs.
Educational requirements:
  • Education: 4 year college Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Business with a focus on Technology
  • Certifications: At least One Certification from IIBA as a Business Analyst. Other Agile/Scrum certifications can strengthen credibility.
