Job description

Job Title: PLM Solution Architect / Next Gen Production System Specialist

Location: Marysville Ohio
 

Role Overview:

Honda is implementing a Global Enterprise PLM system and requires an experienced professional to assist in defining requirements and planning the future state of the Next Generation Production System. This role involves working closely with global teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to design, configure, and optimize PLM processes and system landscapes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business application owners and customers to gather and document requirements.
  • Define and maintain system architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Advise and supervise the setup of development, QA, and production environments.
  • Author processes in Teamcenter / 3D Experience and manage configuration.
  • Develop and execute use cases in POC environments; capture and analyze results.
  • Work with software vendors to develop methodologies and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage project schedules, arrange evaluations, and update project status reports.
  • Participate in and contribute to weekly global meetings.
  • Support system enhancement proposals, Jira backlog creation, and solution clarifications with offshore teams and Honda Japan.
  • Conduct testing, user training, and ensure smooth adoption of new processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Teamcenter / 3D Experience architecture and configuration.
  • Hands-on experience with Bill of Process (BOP) and Bill of Equipment (BOE) management.
  • Knowledge of PLM system landscapes and integration with production systems.
  • Proficiency in process authoring within PLM platforms.
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and architectural diagrams.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, use case development, and POC execution.
  • Familiarity with Jira for backlog management and issue tracking.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in status reporting and global stakeholder coordination.
 

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to prototype and volume production processes.
  • Experience working in global enterprise environments with offshore collaboration.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
 

Work Environment & Onsite Expectations:

  • Full-time onsite engagement at Honda’s Ohio, USA location.
  • Active participation in global meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to work closely with end-users and provide hands-on support during implementation phases
