About the Role:
SOI is seeking a part-time Psychological Associate to join our clinical assessment team. Under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, the Psychological Associate will administer and score psychological assessments for ADHD, Autism and related conditions, and conduct clinical intake interviews with clients and families. This is an excellent opportunity for a doctoral-level clinician building hours toward licensure who has a strong interest in neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment.
Key Responsibilities
ADHD & Autism Testing & Psychological Assessment
Administer a comprehensive battery of standardized psychological and neuropsychological instruments relevant to ADHD evaluation and Autism evaluation, including cognitive, behavioral, and executive functioning measures.
Score and interpret assessment results under the supervision of a licensed psychologist, contributing to diagnostic impressions and written reports.
Collect and organize collateral data from parents, teachers, and other informants using validated rating scales (e.g., Conners, BASC-3, T.O.V.A., Woodcock Johnson).
Assist in preparing clear, accurate, and thorough psychological evaluation reports for review and co-signature by the supervising psychologist.
Participate in feedback sessions with clients and families to communicate evaluation findings and recommendations.

Clinical Interviewing

Conduct structured and semi-structured clinical intake interviews with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Obtain thorough developmental, psychiatric, academic, and psychosocial histories from clients and caregivers.
Document clinical interview findings accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with SOIs standards and applicable ethical and legal guidelines.
Collaborate with the supervising psychologist to integrate interview data into comprehensive diagnostic formulations.

General

Maintain current Psychological Associate registration with the California Board of Psychology (BOP) and comply with all BOP supervision requirements.
Participate in scheduled individual supervision with the supervising psychologist.
Uphold APA ethical standards and all applicable state and federal laws governing the practice of psychology.
Contribute positively to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
Qualifications
Required
Gaining intern hours toward doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) or licensure in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field, from an APA-accredited program.
Current registration as a Psychological Associate with the California Board of Psychology (BOP).
Experience administering standardized psychological assessments (practicum, internship, or postdoctoral experience accepted).
Experience conducting clinical interviews across diverse populations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write clear and organized clinical reports.
Ability to work independently under licensed supervision within a structured clinical environment.

Preferred

Experience with neurodivergence, autism and ADHD-specific assessment protocols and familiarity with DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
Proficiency with commonly used assessment instruments such as the WISC-V, WAIS-IV, CPT-3, Conners-4, BASC-3, BRIEF-2, and/or Vanderbilt scales.
Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families in a clinic or school-based setting.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Supervision & Licensure Hours
This position provides BOP-qualifying supervised hours toward licensure as a Psychologist in California. Supervision will be provided by a licensed psychologist in compliance with all BOP requirements. SOI is dedicated to supporting Psychological Associates in their professional growth and licensure pathway.
