Job description

Position Overview

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a clinical psychologist to join the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. The role supports the building of a psychosis program within the interdisciplinary EPICENTER team, caring for patients with psychotic, bipolar, and related disorders. The successful candidate will hold academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical evaluation and assessment for patients with psychotic, bipolar, and related disorders.
  • Deliver individual cognitive behavioral therapy, metacognitive remediation therapy, family education, and community education.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of DSM‑5 and ICD‑10 diagnostic criteria.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team’s patient care, contributing to education and clinical research.
  • Represent the program or Department on committees, conferences, professional meetings, and community speaking engagements.
  • Adhere to Medical Center policies, procedures, protocols, and key performance areas.
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
  • Licensed or license‑eligible in the state of Ohio.
  • Graduated from an APA‑ or CPA‑accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program with an accredited clinical internship.
  • At least one year of relevant post‑doctoral experience.
  • Competent in technical clinical skills and capable of serving patients with psychotic and/or bipolar disorders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the noted responsibilities and perform within the Ohio State Hospital Board of Trustees guidelines.
