Job description

EXECUTIVE HEALTH PHYSICIAN - Non-Academic, Non-Tenure Track Position

OSU Executive Health at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center is actively seeking an experienced, board-certified internal medicine physician to join our expanding Executive Health Team. The position is currently negotiable within an 80-100% time commitment, depending on the need at time of hire.  Academic rank will be Assistant professor with at least 5 years of clinical experience. Academic promotion is not available in this role, but increasing salary is based on bonus and salary structure.  The salary is based on a NON-AAMC benchmark.

Position Overview

Be a part of an innovative and dynamic care model concept called Semi-Concierge Medicine, features of this concept include:

  • Curated, manageable patient panel (size is between Fee for service models and fully concierge practices)
  • Limited appointment volume (typically 7-8 /day) and no RVU criteria
  • Competitive salary and bonus model
  • Monday through Friday office hours with ample documentation time and an administrative half-day
  • Occasional after-hours call rotating with 4-5 Executive Health doctors this is different from full concierge practices where call is the majority of the year
  • Office Location currently on main campus and a new Powell, Ohio location opening in 2026

Requirements

MD or DO; Completion of Internal Medicine Residency from an ACGME accredited program; Board-certified in Internal Medicine; Minimum 5+ years in outpatient practice setting.  Excellent communication skills a must; Comfortable with a focus on preventive health; Functional medicine or integrative medicine experience a plus, but not required.
