Job description
Description
We're building 'the' Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy - a category of one by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across what we do.
Lead People. Build Partnerships. Expand Access to Care.
At Bierman Autism Centers, we believe exceptional outcomes for children begin with exceptional relationships-with our teams, our families, and our communities. We're looking for a Practice & Physician Outreach Manager to lead center operations while serving as the primary ambassador for Bierman throughout the local medical and community landscape.
In this dynamic leadership role, you'll cultivate a thriving center culture, ensure an exceptional experience for families and employees, and build meaningful partnerships with physicians, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations that increase awareness and access to autism services.
If you're a relationship-driven leader who thrives on developing people, strengthening communities, and making a meaningful impact on children's lives, we'd love to meet you.
Mission
To build exceptional teams, create extraordinary client experiences, and develop strong community partnerships that expand access to high-quality autism services while supporting the continued growth and success of the center.
What You'll Do

- Foster a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven culture that supports employee engagement and retention.
- Partner with clinical leadership to ensure operational excellence and exceptional service delivery.
- Lead by example while creating an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered.
Client Experience
- Ensure every family receives an outstanding experience from inquiry through ongoing treatment.
- Support seamless communication between families, clinicians, and operational teams.
- Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and measurable outcomes.
- Help identify opportunities to improve service delivery and center operations.
Community and Physician Outreach
- Develop and maintain relationships with pediatricians, developmental pediatricians, neurologists, psychologists, schools, and community organizations.
- Serve as a trusted resource on autism services, ABA therapy, and Bierman Autism Centers' programs.
- Conduct in-person outreach visits, presentations, lunch-and-learns, networking events, and educational sessions.
- Represent Bierman at healthcare conferences and community events to increase visibility and referral partnerships.
- Build strategic relationships that strengthen the center's presence within the community.
Referral Development and Growth
- Execute targeted outreach strategies to increase referrals and community awareness.
- Maintain and strengthen referral partnerships while identifying new opportunities for growth.
- Track referral activity and outreach efforts through CRM systems and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with intake and clinical teams to ensure smooth referral and onboarding processes.
- Support continuity of care by maintaining communication with referral partners throughout the client journey.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily center operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service delivery.
- Support scheduling, staffing, and operational processes that enable clinical excellence.
- Ensure health, safety, and regulatory standards are consistently maintained.
- Partner cross-functionally with clinical, recruiting, and leadership teams to achieve organizational goals.
Success Metrics
- High employee engagement and retention
- Exceptional family satisfaction and client outcomes
- Increased physician and community referral partnerships
- Growth in referral volume and center census
- Strong community visibility and market presence
- Operational excellence and compliance
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, Human Services, Childhood Development, or related field required.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, physician relations, operations, or community outreach.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
- Ability to travel locally throughout the assigned market for provider and community outreach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ABA therapy, autism services, pediatrics, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare referral development and physician relationship management.
- Experience working with insurance systems, commercial and Medicaid payers, or healthcare operations.
- Existing relationships within the local healthcare and community network are a plus.
Why Bierman?
Our Story: A Legacy of Progress, Fueled by Play
In 2006, Bierman Autism Centers began with a simple dream: to empower children with autism to thrive. We believed in the power of letting kids be kids and initially offered in-home care to foster a comforting and familiar environment.
We were driven by three core beliefs: achieving remarkable progress with children, creating a great team that enjoys working together, and building a workplace that fosters internal career paths and growth for our team members.
Our dedication to progress led us to a pivotal moment. Recognizing the potential of center-based care, we opened our first center in Indiana in 2010. This wasn't just about location; it shifted our philosophy. Centers allowed us to create consistent, nurturing environments tailored to each child's needs.
This shift became the cornerstone of our success. Today, Bierman Autism Centers are beacons of innovative care across Arizona, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, and Rhode Island. We offer ABA therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Diagnostic Services within center-based settings designed for the comprehensive development of our children.
Bierman Autism Centers values diversity in the workplace. The company provides equal opportunity for employment and promotion to all qualified employees and applicants on the basis of experience, training, education, and ability to do the available work without regard to race, religion, color, age, sex/gender, sexual orientation, national origin, gender identity, disability, marital status, veteran status, genetic information, ancestry, or any other status protected by law.Furthermore, Bierman Autism Centers is committed to providing an equal opportunity workplace that is free of discrimination and harassment based on national origin, race, color, religion, gender, ancestry, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, marital status, veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by law.As an equal opportunity employer, Bierman Autism Centers does not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities.
