Job description

Overview

If you enjoy handson technical work in a fastpaced environment, this is the role for you. Support daily shows, events, and behindthescenes operations by keeping our audio/visual systems running smoothly across all three properties.

Position Pays $17 per hour!

Responsibilities

Event & Show Support

  • Operate audio/visual equipment, including microphones, projectors, laptops, and tablets, during live shows, keeper talks, and special events to enhance the guest experience.
  • Support group sales and other internal teams by setting up and operating audio/visual equipment for events and related activities.

Technical Operations

  • Ensure all audio/visual components perform reliably and at high quality across various on-site facilities.

General Support

  • Perform other duties related to meeting the needs of our staff, guests and sales teams as needed for audio visual needs.
  • This role may involve working outdoors, assisting multiple departments, and moving between Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club properties depending on operational needs.
Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in audiovisual engineering or a related field preferred, including candidates actively working toward completion.

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of audio/visual technologies including microphones, projectors, laptops, and tablets.

Communication Skills

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Operational Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, including safety protocols.
  • This position is a seasonal position and not eligible for overtime pay.

Licensing & Compliance

  • Possession of a valid state issued driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy and successfully pass BMV and criminal background checks.
