Job description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis to join their small animal general practice and urgent care team. This companion animal hospital is dedicated to providing high-quality patient and client care while fostering a positive work-life balance and a collaborative team culture. The practice is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about patient care, long-term client relationships, and continuous professional growth.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care including wellness care, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, imaging, and urgent care services for small animals. The role involves managing a varied caseload including wellness visits, illness and injury cases, urgent care appointments, and surgical procedures while delivering exceptional client communication and compassionate patient care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a highly trained support team and will be expected to practice high-quality medicine with medical autonomy and a commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence. Emergency and urgent care services are also provided during business hours to ensure timely treatment for patients.

Practice Details
This full-service companion animal hospital serves dogs and cats and offers a combination of general practice and urgent care services. The practice sees an average daily patient volume of 17 cases per day and maintains a strong 3:1 support staff ratio. The hospital is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, laser therapy, a complete in-house laboratory, a surgical suite, and digital body and dental x-rays. Services offered include wellness plans, wellness care and exams, illness and injury care, dental care, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, pet surgery, end-of-life and euthanasia services, urgent care appointments, laser therapy, health screening tests, and nutrition counseling. The hospital places a strong emphasis on proper anesthetic monitoring and patient care throughout hospitalization. Practice hours are Monday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Wednesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Thursday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and Sunday 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

The hospital currently has 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team including Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Technician Assistants, Veterinary Service Specialists, and dedicated client service representatives. Candidate Requirements

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
