Dining ServerPosition Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Dining Server plays a key role in creating The Medallion Club experience by providing warm, attentive, and professional service in a member‑focused environment. This position is responsible for ensuring guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their dining experience. The ideal candidate is service‑driven, detail‑oriented, and committed to upholding club standards while delivering exceptional hospitality.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare dining areas by setting tables, arranging linens and utensils, and ensuring condiments and service items are stocked.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and any changes communicated by the culinary team.
  • Greet members and guests warmly and guide them to their tables.
  • Present menus, suggest offerings, assist with drink selections, and communicate special requests or dietary needs to the kitchen.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining a polished and attentive dining experience.
  • Refill beverages, replenish utensils, clear courses, and anticipate guest needs throughout service.
  • Prepare mixed drinks and properly open and serve wine tableside.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and handle transactions accurately.
  • Assist with basic cleaning tasks and maintain a tidy, organized workspace.
  • Support special events as needed.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Maintain knowledge of club amenities, offerings, and services to support guest inquiries.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service, teamwork, and upholding club standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas, service station and expo line.
  • Perform opening /closing checklist as well as daily cleaning tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous dining server experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
  • Basic cooking knowledge and familiarity with food preparation terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, professional demeanor.
  • Commitment to hospitality, safety, and excellence in service.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to speak and hear clearly.
  • Close and distance vision required.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and carrying trays or supplies.
  • Ability to walk long distances and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Regular use of manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and bi‑manual coordination.
  • Ability to reach, kneel, and stoop repeatedly.

Typical Working Conditions

  • Work may occur indoors or outdoors depending on the dining outlet.
  • Exposure to varied weather conditions.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on business needs.
  • Use of POS terminals, credit card machines, and related service equipment.
