As an Access Control Officer at a retail location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge and visitor access processes, and maintain a professional, visible presence to help deter incidents. You will communicate clearly with associates and visitors while delivering attentive customer service. This driving position offers the opportunity to represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Monday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Wednesday 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store team members by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the retail location by verifying authorized entry, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
  • Monitor entry points, receiving areas, and other assigned access locations to help deter unauthorized access and support loss prevention efforts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas around the retail location and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
