Job description

Job Title: Inspector II, Manufacturing Support
Location: Florida, Weston (Onsite) - 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (M-F)
Employment Type: 6 months
Pay Rate: $23/Hour

Position Summary: 
The Inspector II, Manufacturing Support is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, sub-assemblies, and system assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and manufacturing requirements. This role conducts dimensional and electrical inspections, interprets technical documentation, and determines product acceptance or rejection based on established procedures and guidelines. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to make routine decisions within clearly defined processes.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of manufacturing components, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
  • Conduct dimensional and electrical inspections using appropriate measurement and testing equipment.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, wire cards, and technical specifications.
  • Verify products meet quality, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials, defects, and quality issues.
  • Approve or reject products and assemblies based on established inspection criteria and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to address quality concerns and support corrective actions.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements (Must Have): 
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality inspection principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform inspections requiring visual accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or quality inspection environments.
  • Technical, vocational, or trade school training in manufacturing, electronics, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Experience using inspection and measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, inspection procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of basic troubleshooting and root cause identification techniques.
