Smurfit Westrock, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions, is seeking a Baler Operator to join our corrugated packaging division. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining baling equipment to process recyclable materials efficiently, ensuring smooth operations within our production facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate baling machines to compress and bind corrugated materials.
- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Sort, load, and process recyclable materials according to company standards.
- Securely bind bales for storage and transportation.
- Maintain accurate records of processed materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on baling equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and bales.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Must have forklift experience and certification (preferred).
- Experience operating baling or heavy machinery.
