    Senior Network Administrator
    Norwalk, CA

    Responsibilities:
    Responsible for implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting Windows server operating systems and server hardware at multiple sites.
    Responsible for implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructures at multiple sites.
    Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of virtualization platforms. Responsible for planning and executing complex projects including network design, server installs and disaster recovery.
    Provide high availability & reliability to networked systems.
    Requirements gathering, analyze, and propose solution to network, storage and server needs
    Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services
    Develop automation methods to rapidly deploy, configure, and update network equipment - Conduct product POC evaluation
    Document network/server/storage knowledge base and operational "Run-Book"
    Required Skills:
    Require a minimum of three (3) years' experience in mid-large enterprise networking infrastructure and a minimum of two (2) years' experience with Fortinet Firewalls. In addition, the classification requires a minimum of three (3) years' experience with Cisco Nexus/Catalyst and or HP Aruba Routers & Switches. The classification requires experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzers, SNMP, flow, IPAM, RADIUS, Splunk, network taps, and load/stress testing.
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Information Systems, or a closely related field.
    A master's degree or greater academic degree is a plus.
    Duties:
    The Senior Network Administrator may lead a group of lower level staff and is responsible for administering Computer Information Systems, servers and local area networks in the Department; manages design, acquisition, and installation projects; plans and performs the installation of computer networking devices and computer hardware/software; evaluates system monitoring devices and software; recommends appropriate tools required to measure server, storage and network performance and capacity; conducts network monitoring and testing; customizes networking hardware and develops installation procedures for new equipment; contributes to the establishment of network standards; consults with staff to determine methods required to interface local area and wide area networks; evaluates alternative technologies to determine cost effectiveness; performs studies to ensure feasibility; develops and implements methods to ensure maximum network availability; develops plans for network disaster.
