Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Knoxville, TN, supporting daily store operations and team leadership. This position assists with supervising associates, coordinating shift activities, and ensuring that customers receive friendly, efficient service. The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain store cleanliness and organization, oversees inventory and merchandising, and supports efforts to prevent loss and protect company assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring store performance, resolving customer issues, coaching team members, and upholding company policies and standards. The role also contributes to achieving sales goals, promoting a positive work environment, and modeling Weigel’s values in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and leadership.
- Experience or aptitude in Store Management, including supervising staff and overseeing operations.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to minimize shrink and protect assets.
- Previous retail, convenience store, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or education in business or management is a plus.
