Summary
Warped Wing Brewing Co. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the Kitchen Manager in daily kitchen operations and supervision of kitchen staff.
  • Ensure food preparation and service meet the establishment's quality standards.
  • Oversee kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
  • Assist in ordering, receiving, and managing inventory of food and supplies.
  • Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages and minimize waste.
  • Ensure the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and areas.
  • Assist in training new kitchen staff and ongoing training for existing staff.
  • Help in scheduling and managing staff shifts.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to develop and maintain the restaurant menu.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in all dishes prepared.
  • Assist in food preparation and service during peak times.
  • Track and minimize food waste to maintain profitability.
  • Address customer feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation.
  • Ability to prepare and present dishes to high standards.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with staff and management.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and schedules.
  • Quick thinking and problem-solving abilities for handling kitchen issues.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • A keen attention to detail for maintaining high food quality and safety standards.
  • Thoroughness in completing tasks and checking work.

Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
