    Job description

    Material Attendant

And it permeates everything we do. At Disney, you'll help inspire that magic by enabling our teams to push the limits of entertainment and create the never-before-seen! The Material Attendant is responsible for the receiving, handling, and stocking of parts, tools, materials, and equipment. The Material Attendant will maintain multiple inventories, including, but not limited to organizing and inputting equipment or parts into an inventory database and maintaining database records utilizing computers and/or handheld devices. Completing physical inventories and reordering and restocking as required. The Material Attendant is familiar with forklifts, powered industrial trucks, and will be required to obtain equipment operational certifications. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

    Responsibilities:

    • Receive and stock parts, tools, materials, and equipment utilizing computers and/or handheld devices
    • Palletize and ship material
    • Load and unload delivery trucks using a forklift
    • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials, keeping an keen eye out for damage
    • Inventory or count material and input the data in to the SAP inventory management tool
    • Track and maintain proper inventory counts within recommended quantities and keep parts and/or tool areas neat and orderly
    • Properly fill out and process requisitions to order necessary stock
    • Label, sort, and wrap packing material
    • Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and twist to manage inventory
    • Must be able to work off elevated platforms and ladders as tall as 15ft

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Valid Florida driver's license
    • Previous warehouse or inventory experience
    • Knowledge of SAP, Maximo, or equivalent programs
    • Knowledge of the purchasing and receiving process
    • Ability to set-up inventory, minimum/maximum counts, and maintain inventory
    • Successfully complete all required training, including the use of power industrial trucks (such as forklifts and Power Pallet Jacks)
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Proficiency in standard office software programs such as Microsoft Office applications or equivalent, and use of computers/mobile electronic devices
    • Experience providing customer support to a diverse range of individuals within a company, including internal partners, external collaborators or vendors, as well as customers or clients

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of operating power industrial trucks
    • Previous Wi-Fi handheld devices experience
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent
    • Knowledge of SAP and Maximo

    Schedule Availability: Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Schedules and start times are subject to vary.
