Associate Producer - Disney Games

Job Summary:

The Associate Producer will partner with the team on all aspects of the game production and editorial process including managing product deliverables, product documentation and milestone reviews, driving internal & external communication, and managing product deliverables from partners.

This role will partner with the senior Production staff to uphold the overall quality and usability of features within the game, coordinating and consolidating feedback on relevant documentation, and reference and game asset sourcing. This role will occasionally lead small scale projects with limited scope and complexity.

The Associate Producer will be expected to understand the game design and Franchise priorities for assigned projects, and to work with the Producers to collaborate across functions to share information and facilitate align and prioritize feedback on partner submissions. This role will occasionally require on-site support with external development with some domestic and international travel.

What You Will Do:

  • Quality: Will be responsible for partnering with the project Producer to deliver innovative high-quality products, in all aspects of gameplay, art, animation, sound and overall gameplay.

  • Partner Support: Facilitate sourcing and delivery of reference material and appropriate assets to development partner as necessary.

  • Support slate of multiple projects, tracking all partner submissions and ensuring timely delivery of feedback (art direction, gameplay, story and narrative, and franchise feedback) for approval across multiple internal stakeholders.

  • Presentations & Demos: Partner with senior Production Staff in the production of presentations and contribute to, as necessary, presentations and product demos to management and other stakeholders.

  • Provide brand guidance to external partner teams balancing the needs of the game and the authenticity of the TWDC franchise’s characters and worlds.

  • Facilitate the coordination and collaboration across internal (production, art and story) and external groups throughout the production process by setting up meeting and follow up on action items.

  • Participate in weekly production, art and story meetings, ensuring all feedback that is actionable is gathered and addressed.

  • Play game development builds to generate brand and qualitative feedback.

Required Qualifications And Skills:

  • 1+ years of experience specifically in product development/production of Console/Mobile/PC games or other entertainment

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.

  • Strong sense of ownership, flexibility, and urgency.

  • Able to work independently, creatively, and track multiple deadlines and projects.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on building productive and positive relationships with external partners, managers, and peers.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Airtable as this is a major portion of the day to day work.

  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum, Kanban, and other production methodologies.

  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint / Keynote.

  • Passion for the latest games and game platforms (Mobile, Console, PC as well as AR/VR) as well as the intellectual property of The Walt Disney Company.

  • Demonstrate affinity and familiarity with TWDC (The Walt Disney Company) franchises.

  • Ability to identify and assess risks and **escalate**, as necessary.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $72,000 to $96,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
