    Job description

    Walker Engineering is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead and enhance quality assurance and quality control across our Electrical Services division. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring projects meet contract specifications, regulatory requirements, and Walker's quality and safety standards while mentoring field teams and driving continuous improvement.

    What You'll Do

    • Develop, implement, and manage project-specific QA/QC programs.
    • Conduct field inspections and jobsite audits to ensure compliance with contract specifications, OSHA regulations, and company standards.
    • Evaluate installation methods, materials, and workmanship throughout all phases of construction.
    • Identify quality issues, provide corrective action recommendations, and ensure successful resolution.
    • Partner with project management teams during planning, execution, and closeout.
    • Lead project coordination meetings and provide QA/QC guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct and oversee NFPA 70E training and enforce Walker's Hot Work Policy.
    • Mentor field personnel, supervisors, and subcontractors on quality and compliance best practices.
    • Support risk assessments and help develop strategies to improve quality, safety, and operational performance.
    • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, reports, and project records.

    What We're Looking For

    • Journeyman Electrician License required.
    • 5+ years of experience in electrical project management, supervision, and/or QA/QC leadership.
    • 5+ years of experience conducting supervisory and NFPA 70E training.
    • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction, installation methods, and systems up to 15kV.
    • Advanced understanding of OSHA regulations, quality standards, and electrical safety practices.
    • OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain within six months of hire).
    • Proven leadership, coaching, and team development experience.
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new construction software.
