Volt is immediately hiring for a 1st Shift Electronic Quality Inspector in Nampa, ID.
*New Facility with lots of growth opportunities!
As an Electronic Quality Inspector you will:
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and daily quality checks, including in-process, final, and component inspections
- Inspect circuit boards produced through SMT and manual/machine assembly processes
- Utilize AOI systems and other inspection tools to verify product quality
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements
- Communicate quality concerns clearly with production teams, engineers, and leadership
- Support engineering and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with internal audits and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Contribute to improving quality assurance processes and systems
- Perform basic technician tasks, including hand soldering as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies
This is a full-time opportunity.
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Have knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD-001
- 2+ years of QC experience in PCB assembly manufacturing
- Experience in electronics, aerospace, or semiconductor manufacturing QA.
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes and PCB assembly defect types.
- Proficiency with inspection tools (microscopes, magnifiers, calipers, multimeters).
- Ability to read and interpret BOMs, work instructions, and checklists.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and safety practices.
- Computer efficiency & ERP System experience is a plus
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform 100% inspection using ring lamps and microscopes.
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
