Job Summary

We are seeking an AI Security Principal Developer to serve as a strategic advisor to AI and engineering teams on building secure, trustworthy AI solutions. This role focuses on applying AI, analytics, and data-driven thinking to drive security outcomes, while shaping AI security strategy and long-term roadmaps. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, experienced in designing and scaling AI solutions, and comfortable influencing technical direction. Deep security expertise is not required, but strong problem-solving, systems thinking, and AI fluency are essential.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

•Implement and maintain IT analytics platforms; understand and deliver on the functional support and data needs of analytics within Vistra.

•Create data policies, standards, guidelines and procedures in order to ensure data to support analytics is available, responsive, and achieving business outcomes and objectives

•Create and implement data and analytics solutions or enhancements to improve overall Vistra data architecture; conduct research and make recommendations on new data management processes and innovations.

•Partner closely with vendors, service providers, the business and internal team to define and understand analytics needs in order to achieve key performance indicators and Service Level Agreements for the benefit of Vistra and its business objectives.

•Determine analytics business needs and translate them into functional requirements, update/create documentation (Business Process Designs, Functional Designs, Data Architecture)

•Participate in analytics projects and Agile teams; make recommendations and implement changes to mitigate risks and optimize analytics performance.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

•8 years of experience in data management, integration/APIs, or related practice such as data science.

•Proven ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams

•Experience with SAS, open source (Hadoop) and cloud highly desirable

•Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
