NICU Registered Nurse – Level III NICU – Columbus, Ohio

Location: Columbus, OH (520 West 10th Avenue)

Start Date: 10/05/2026

End Date/Duration: 01/04/2027

Shift: Day, 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Hours/Week: 36 hours/week

Employment Type: Full-time, W-2

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, NRP required

Experience: Level III NICU experience preferred

What You'll Do

  • Provide specialized neonatal care to neonates, including those under 24-28 weeks gestation
  • Manage respiratory systems, including ventilator settings and adjustments (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
  • Administer medications using Pyxis system, including IV vasopressors, surfactants, and steroids
  • Document patient care using EPIC system
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and families utilizing SBAR
  • Perform critical procedures such as arterial line management and central line care
  • Support neonates requiring surgery or cardiac interventions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members for patient-centered care

What You Need

  • Required:
    • Valid Ohio RN license and BLS, NRP certifications
    • Experience in Level III NICU settings
    • Proficiency in cardiovascular and gastrointestinal management
    • Knowledge of infection control and IV therapy, including umbilical line management
  • Preferred:
    • Prior experience at Nationwide Children's Hospital or similar facility
    • Competency in interpreting dysrhythmias

About the Assignment This role is based in the NICU at a leading healthcare facility in Columbus, Ohio, supporting critically ill neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above. The NICU is equipped with advanced technology and dedicated staff committed to providing top-tier neonatal intensive care. The successful candidate will work day shifts providing vital, specialized care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
