Job description

Role Summary:

The IT Project Manager oversees the planning and execution of midsized to large IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to manage requirements, resources, risks, and delivery across the full project lifecycle while adhering to established governance, SDLC, and PMLC standards.

Technical Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage midsized to large IT projects.
  • Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments preferred.
  • Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
  • Handson experience with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Planview, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technology deliverables.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise IT systems and integration patterns.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree (B.A. / B.S. degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required.
  • CPCU designation or advanced degree is a plus.
