    Job Title: SAP MDG Consultant – Business Partner (Testing & Automation)
    Location: California – San Valley (Onsite)
    Job Type: Contract
    Duration: Long-Term (TBD)
    Priority: High – Local Candidates Preferred

    We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Consultant – Business Partner (BP) with a strong focus on testing and automation within S/4HANA environments. This role is critical in ensuring data quality, governance, and stability across enterprise master data processes.

    The consultant will play a key role during SIT, UAT, and regression testing phases, while also driving test automation initiatives and managing defects. This is a hands-on functional role requiring deep expertise in MDG BP data models, integrations, and testing frameworks.

    Key ResponsibilitiesTesting & Quality Assurance

    • Perform end-to-end testing of SAP MDG Business Partner objects (Customer, Vendor, Contact)

    • Design, develop, and execute:

      • Test cases

      • Test scenarios

      • Test scripts

    • Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles

    • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for MDG processes

    • Validate MDG workflows and business rules execution

    Defect Management & Collaboration

    • Log, track, and manage defects using Jira

    • Work closely with functional, technical, and integration teams to resolve issues

    • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of defects and fixes

    MDG Functional & Governance Support

    • Execute MDG transactions and validate:

      • Change Request (CR) workflows

      • Governance processes

    • Identify configuration gaps and recommend improvements

    • Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards

    Integration & Data Management

    • Support integrations using:

      • DRF (Data Replication Framework)

      • IDoc (ALE/EDI), Web Services (SOA), OData, XML

    • Collaborate on integrations with enterprise systems:

      • CRM, PLM, and other data platforms

    Continuous Improvement & Automation

    • Drive automation initiatives for testing and validation processes

    • Enhance efficiency of testing cycles through reusable automation frameworks

    • Contribute to process improvements and data quality initiatives

      Must-Have Skills

    • 8+ years of SAP MDG experience, including S/4HANA environments

    • Strong expertise in Business Partner (BP) data model:

      • BP roles, groupings, number ranges

      • Customer & Vendor integration in S/4HANA

    • Experience with minimum 2 end-to-end Greenfield implementations

    • Strong hands-on experience in:

      • Functional, integration, UAT, and regression testing

      • Test case design and execution

      • Test automation for SAP MDG

    • Experience with Jira for defect tracking and test management

    • Strong understanding of:

      • MDG Change Request (CR) governance

      • MDG workflows and data governance

    • Hands-on experience with:

      • BRF+

      • SAP DQM (Data Quality Management)

    • Experience with DRF and integration technologies (IDoc, OData, Web Services, XML)

    • Strong understanding of data domains (Business Partner, Material Master, Supply Chain)

    • Nice-to-Have Skills

    • Experience in high-tech or semiconductor industry

    • Exposure to SAP Fiori/UI customization:

      • Floor Plan Manager (FPM)

      • Web Dynpro

    • Experience with custom MDG data models and enhancements
      Education

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
      Work Model
