Job description

Position Overview
The Structural Engineer serves as a technical resource throughout project lifecycles and collaborates closely with clients, contractors, architects, and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
  • Perform threshold inspections and engineering evaluations on commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
  • Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with approved plans, specfications, applicable, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct field observations, site visits, and structural assessments during various phased of construction.
  • Review structural calculations, shop drawings, submittals, and engineering documents.
  • Identify construction defencies, non- conforming work, and potential safety concerns.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, inspection documentation, and corrective action recommendations.
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, architect, and owner to resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure projects comply with local, state and federal regulations, including Threshold Building Inspection requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project records and inspection logs.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of structural engineering experience
  • PE licensure in progress or obtained, depending on state requirements.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency with CAD, Revit, and structural design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS).
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and material behavior (concrete, steel, timber, masonry).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Licensed P.E.

    Travel Requirements
    • This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work
