    Position Overview
    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Geotechnical Project Engineer to lead and support geotechnical engineering projects for transportation, commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure developments. This position is responsible for managing projects from proposal through completion, performing advanced geotechnical analyses and design, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining stroing client relationships.
    The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, project management capabilities and experience delivering high-quality geotechnical solutions in a fast-paced consulting environment.
    Responsibilities
    • Lead and manage geotechnical and materials testing engineering projects including scope, budget and client coordination.
    • Plan and oversee subsurface investigations, drilling programs, laboratory testing, and field exploration activities.
    • Perform and review geotechnical analyses and engineering design for:
      • Shallow and deep foundations
      • Retaining walls
      • Pavement design
      • Embankments and slop stability
      • Ground improvement systems
    • Prepare and review geotechnical, materials testing engineering reports, proposals, and technical specifications
    • Perform geotechnical analyses including foundation design, settlement analysis, slope stability, earth retention systems, and ground improvement solutions
    • Conduct field inspections and site visits to monitor geotechnical construction activities
    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines
    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, field staff, and project teams
    • Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship management
    • Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols
    • Review project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
  • Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, project management, and client interaction.
  • Proficiency in technical software and tools used in the engineering discipline
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and business acumen.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across locations.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, or structural engineering or similar.
    • Proficiency with various geotechnical software, such as LPILE, Geostudio or similar tools.
    • Geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring
    • Willingness to travel as needed for projects
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

    Travel Requirements
    • This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business
    objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
    project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may
    be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and
    use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
