***THIS IS A FACULTY POSITION***

Position Overview:

The UMD Department of Education in the College of Education and Human Service Professions is seeking to hire student teaching supervisors. These positions are temporary and part-time.
This search will establish a pool of applicants for openings that may occur during the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants will be selected from the pool as needed. Applications may not be acknowledged but will be reviewed when such openings occur. Instructors are appointed on a semester basis, depending on the needs of the Department of Education. Part-time appointments do not carry benefits, and appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. 

Qualifications
 

Required/Essential Qualifications:
Required academic qualifications to be eligible for the Instructor position are, 1) a commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering social justice, 2) a Master's degree from an accredited institution in education or field related to specific supervision assignment, and 3) a minimum of 3 years of K12 teaching experience.

Required academic qualifications to be eligible for the Assistant Professor position are, 1) a commitment to working with diverse populations and fostering social justice, 2) a Doctorate from an accredited institution in education or field related to specific supervision assignment, and 3) a minimum of 3 years of K12 teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred academic qualifications for the Instructor and Assistant Professor position are, 1) additional licensure/ endorsements appropriate to the field of study required to fill the position, and 2) experience teaching with technology.

Pay and Benefits
 

Pay Range:

Instructor (9403) - $47,919.38 - $63,893 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Assistant Professor (9404) - $55,691.25 - $74,255 per year; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
