One Source Housekeeping Solutions is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Housekeeping to oversee a cluster of five historic boutique properties in Key West, Florida, totaling approximately 250 guest rooms. Position Summary
The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for the overall management and performance of housekeeping operations across multiple properties. This leader will serve as the primary on-site representative of One Source Housekeeping Solutions, partnering closely with hotel leadership while directing housekeeping teams to achieve outstanding quality, productivity, guest satisfaction, and financial results.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable making independent decisions that positively impact team members, clients, and the overall operation.
Essential Responsibilities
Oversee all housekeeping operations across five historic Key West properties.
Lead, coach, and develop housekeeping managers, supervisors, and frontline team members.
Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet brand and client cleanliness standards.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with hotel ownership, management, and key stakeholders.
Serve as the primary client contact for housekeeping-related matters and operational performance.
Analyze labor productivity, staffing levels, scheduling, and payroll to maximize efficiency while maintaining service excellence.
Conduct routine property inspections and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing housekeeping team.
Manage departmental budgets, inventories, supplies, and equipment.
Monitor safety practices and ensure compliance with all company, hotel, local, state, and federal regulations.
Resolve operational challenges quickly and professionally while maintaining a positive working environment.
Support property transitions, special projects, and operational initiatives as required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience, preferably at the Director level.
Multi-property or resort experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to lead teams independently and drive results in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
Experience managing labor costs, staffing plans, and operational budgets.
Ability to make sound business decisions that balance the needs of the client, employees, guests, and company.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays when operationally necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Haitian Creole, or English and Spanish.
Experience working with diverse hospitality workforces.
Historic hotel, boutique hotel, or resort experience.
Location Requirement
Candidates must currently reside in Florida, with preference given to those living in the Florida Keys or South Florida region.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually
