Luther Park is seeking anexperienced, creative, fun and caring Life Enrichment Assistant (ActivitiesAssistant) for an immediate full-time opening from 9a-5:30p and one weekend a month! The Life Enrichment Assistant supports theoverall Activities program for nursing home residents at the Trinity Center atLuther Park Community. Responsibilities include one on one engagement withresidents, conducting group activities, assisting residents with meals andother supportive activities as defined in residents' care plans.
A CNAcertificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and conduct at least two groupactivities per shift
• Visit and interact with residents one on oneand conduct small group activities
• Maintain accurate documentation of residents'progress and attendance with programs
• Complete one on one documentation andcharting
• Engage with families by orientating them to activitysupplies and provide feedback on resident response to group and individualactivities
• Collaborate with Trinity Center nursing staffas needed to reduce behaviors and provide one on one interaction
• Serve plated food at mealtime and assistresidents with eating as defined in their care plan
• Assist residents to and from activities andmeals as defined in their care plan
• Attend all mandatory meetings and yearlyeducations and training in accordance with Luther Park policies
• Deliver personal mail to residents; read uponrequest or as appropriate
• Observe infection control procedures relatedto the Activity Program
• Assist in maintaining an acceptable level ofinventory to perform all activities
• Maintain all areas for activities within thecommunity in a safe and neat manner
• The Life Enrichment Assistant maintains apositive attitude that supports team performance and productivity

§ Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Two years of experiencewith seniors and/or individuals with dementia
• Effective verbal andwritten communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work independently
• Positive attitude towardsresidents and their reality
• Team work and respectgiven to all co-workers
