Job description

Luther Park Community isseeking an RN/LPN for the Trinity Center for a FT 10p-6:30a EOW shift. The Trinity Center is a 120-bed skilled nursingfacility which specializes in Alzheimer's care. If you are a skilled, compassionatenurse that is dedicated to making sure the best quality of care is given, wewant to talk to you!
JOB SUMMARY:
The Charge Nurse will beresponsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out nursing care ofresidents. The job responsibilities include orienting, instructing, andsupervising other personnel: CNAs, CMAs. The Charge Nurse complies withestablished policies and procedures and performs professional nursing dutieswithin scope of licensure.
  1. Keeps DON/ADON informed of resident status and other pertinent matters.
  2. Admit and orients new resident and involves family with orientation. Check physician's orders, transfer forms and pre-admission information. Reviews resident's medical and social history. Completes admission and documentation forms. Make sure that resident's supplies and medications are ordered and equipment is working properly.
  3. Maintains proper documentation of facility records, i.e. narcotic records, medical chart forms, weekly skin assessments. Maintains daily, weekly, or monthly weight and vital signs, and informs physician/DON/ADON and On Call Manager of any change.

Requirements:
1. Graduate of an approvedschool of nursing for RN/LPN
2. Current nursing licensein good standing in the state of Iowa
3. Current CPR certificationpreferred
4. One year of experience ina geriatric setting preferred
6. Knowledgeable withcurrent changes in nursing practice
7. Excellent written andoral communication skills
Background check, physical, drug screen and TB Test required
