About the Position

We are seeking a professional Class B Delivery Driver for a local position. This role combines driving and warehouse responsibilities, delivering pipe, valves, and fittings while providing dependable, customer-focused service.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay rate: $28.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Job Details

• Route type: Local deliveries
• Delivery area: The farthest delivery is approximately two hours from the work location
• Freight: Pipe, valves, fittings, and related materials
• Driving and warehouse split: Approximately 70% driving and 30% warehouse work
• Equipment: F-250 pickup, F-550 flatbed, and automatic International flatbed
• Handling: Touch delivery, including loading, unloading, securing, picking, packing, receiving, and shelving materials

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver materials according to scheduled delivery times.
• Confirm directions and plan efficient delivery routes.
• Unload or assist with unloading materials at delivery locations.
• Properly secure all materials and remain within applicable weight limits.
• Deliver tickets with shipments and obtain customer signatures.
• Verify that all materials have been unloaded and placed at the delivery site.
• Process customer returns and confirm products match credit requests.
• Pick up local purchase orders and return required paperwork.
• Review delivered orders for completion and accuracy.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Fuel vehicles as needed and report vehicle defects or operational concerns.
• Maintain communication with the supervisor throughout the workday.
• Assist with warehouse duties, including picking, packing, receiving, and shelving materials.
• Comply with all applicable Department of Transportation standards and regulations.
• Provide professional customer service and represent the organization positively.
• Follow all applicable safety rules, policies, procedures, and uniform standards.

Minimum Requirements

• 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner.
