Job description

TLC Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Oncology for a travel nursing job in Columbus, Ohio.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, nights

Acute Leukemia / Hematology Oncology RN – Travel Contract

Unit: 24-bed Acute Leukemia/Hematology Oncology
Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Ratio: 1:4, may be 1:5
Charting: Epic
Floating: May float to other Med/Surg Oncology units

Requirements:

  • 2+ years RN experience
  • Recent inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience required
  • Medical-Surgical Oncology experience required
  • Leukemia/Blood Dyscrasias experience required – hard stop
  • Current acute-care specialty experience within the last 12 months
  • Previous travel experience required — no first-time travelers
  • Chemotherapy and blood product administration experience
  • Central/PICC line and IV therapy experience
  • Telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation
  • BLS, ACLS & ONS Chemo Certification
  • Active Ohio or Compact RN license
  • 2 professional references, including 1 supervisor/manager

Unit Focus: High-acuity acute leukemia patients requiring chemotherapy, blood products, IV antibiotics, electrolyte management, infection prevention, and close monitoring.
