Job description

Responsibilities
About the Team The Global E-Commerce (GEC) US Talent Acquisition hires the engineering, product, and technical leadership talent that builds TikTok's US e-commerce business. We are a small team with direct exposure to the business leaders we hire for. Our sourcers do not sit behind recruiters processing a queue. They own the top of the funnel, carry their own reqs, and talk to hiring managers directly. This is an outbound-first environment. The roles we fill - backend engineering, infrastructure, product management, solution architecture - do not fill themselves through inbound applications. If you are looking for a seat where inbound flow does most of the work, this is not it. What You Will Own: - Top of funnel outcomes. Response rate, resume evaluation pass rate, and pipeline volume are yours. You will be measured on them and you will be expected to diagnose them without being asked. - Sourcing strategy for niche technical roles. Backend, infra, PM, solution architect. Roles where the qualified population is small and every one of them already has a job. - Direct partnership with hiring managers. You will sit in calibration, push back on unrealistic profiles, and bring market reality to the business. - Your own methods. When an approach stops working, you change it. You are not waiting for a recruiter to tell you the outreach is not landing. - Reusable assets. Market maps, search string libraries, trackers, SOPs. Work that outlasts the req.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - 2+ years in a dedicated sourcing role, with ownership of proactive sourcing as a primary responsibility. - Proven success sourcing candidates for technical roles, with the ability to discuss the positions you've supported, sourcing strategies you've used, hiring challenges you've overcome, and measurable results you've achieved. - Experience using AI-assisted sourcing platforms or similar recruiting technology, along with the judgment to determine when to rely on automation and when manual sourcing and evaluation are needed. - Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to evaluate technical resumes, understand core engineering disciplines, and distinguish candidates with relevant hands-on experience from resumes that rely primarily on keyword matching. Preferred Qualifications: - A track record in an environment where outbound sourcing, not inbound applicant flow, produced the majority of hires. - Experience using AI to build something that improved their own funnel - a tracker, a dashboard, an outreach workflow, a market map - and can point to what changed as a result. - Comfortable running several unrelated niche reqs at once without letting quality slip on any of them. - Composure in a fast, high-change environment. Reschedules, no-shows, shifting priorities, and occasional evening work across time zones are part of the job, not an exception to it. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Important Note: Please be advised that this job posting is on behalf of a third-party agency. This is a 6-month temporary assignment managed by a third-party agency, who will be your employer. While you may be assigned to work at TikTok, you will not be a TikTok employee. All contractual terms, including payroll and benefits, will be handled by a third-party agency. By applying, you agree that the information provided in your application may be processed and retained by TikTok for recruitment purposes and shared with a third-party agency in accordance with TikTok's Applicant Privacy Notice https://lifeattiktok.com/legal/privacy This is a temporary position. You will not be an employee of TikTok. You will be an employee of a third-party agency. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $30 - $50. Placement in the range depends on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and location. Your benefits, if any, will be provided by your contracting vendor/agency. For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates: Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act. Our company believes that criminal history may have a direct, adverse and negative relationship on the following job duties, potentially resulting in the withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment: 1. Interacting and occasionally having unsupervised contact with internal/external clients and/or colleagues; 2. Appropriately handling and managing confidential information including proprietary and trade secret information and access to information technology systems; and 3. Exercising sound judgment.
